(hereinafter referred to as "JARI Medical") is pleased to announce that its new Peritoneal Dialysis Solutions (Lactate-Based, G1.5% and G2.5%) have successfully passed the quality and therapeutic equivalence evaluation conducted by the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA). Following this successful evaluation, the new products are now officially available on the Chinese market, providing patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis with additional high-quality treatment options.

As a comprehensive provider of peritoneal dialysis solutions, JARI Medical has integrated its capabilities across medical devices, consumables, pharmaceutical products, and cloud-based management platforms to establish a complete peritoneal dialysis ecosystem. Manufactured in accordance with international standards and subject to stringent quality control, the newly launched dialysis solutions are compatible with JARI Medical's independently developed Automated Peritoneal Dialysis (APD) systems, offering an integrated approach to automated peritoneal dialysis treatment.

The product is the first domestically approved 2L single-bag packaged peritoneal dialysis solution, suitable for patients with acute or chronic renal failure undergoing Continuous Cycling Peritoneal Dialysis (CCPD) using APD systems. Unlike the twin-bag products designed for Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD), its key advantages are as follows:

1. Specifically Designed for APD Equipment, with Strong Compatibility: Featuring an exclusive 2L single-bag design, the product's connectors are precisely matched with the tubing systems of automated peritoneal dialysis machines, significantly simplifying the treatment setup process and making it more suitable for overnight automated dialysis during sleep.

2. Reduced Risk of Peritoneal Infection: JARI Medical's single-bag dialysis solution adopts an integrated bag design, reducing fluid transfers and the frequency of connecting and disconnecting tubing, thereby lowering the risk of peritonitis caused by connector contamination. The product works efficiently with APD equipment to safeguard the safety of home-based dialysis.

3. 2L Specification Supporting Individualized Precision Treatment: The product is compatible with APD low-fill-volume treatment regimens, allowing physicians to flexibly adjust dialysis prescriptions to meet the varying fill-volume requirements and ultrafiltration targets of different patients.

4. Non-PVC Flexible Bag, Offering Enhanced Safety Compared with Conventional PVC Bags: The product uses non-PVC flexible bags that do not contain DEHP plasticizers, helping to avoid the risk of plasticizer migration. The packaging also offers better compatibility with dialysis solutions, stronger water vapor barrier properties, and lower moisture loss during storage. When used with JARI Medical's peritoneal dialysis machines, the product is suitable for extended overnight cycling and infusion, ensuring safety throughout the APD treatment process.

5. Evaluated Quality with Stable and Controllable Therapeutic Efficacy: The product's formulation is consistent with that of the reference product and has been verified through the consistency evaluation, meeting the stringent quality control requirements for continuous drug cycling in APD equipment and ensuring stable and reliable automated dialysis treatment.

The newly launched products, together with the company's independently developed intelligent Automated Peritoneal Dialysis machines and remote management platform, form an integrated treatment solution, providing cost-effective treatment options for millions of patients with chronic kidney disease in China and further improving the domestic peritoneal dialysis product supply and service system, in line with the company's "patient-centered" philosophy.

The products will be rolled out nationwide alongside JARI Medical's peritoneal dialysis machines through multiple distribution channels, providing patients with integrated and convenient dialysis support. Amid the pleasant autumn weather of October in Kunming, JARI’s automated peritoneal dialysis products were presented at the 2017 Annual Nephrology Conference of Yunnan Medical Association, together with the Training Workshop on Standardized Dialysis Management and Clinical Guidelines in Yunnan Province.

The 2017 Annual Nephrology Conference of Yunnan Medical Association and Training Workshop on Standardized Dialysis Management and Clinical Guidelines in Yunnan Province was held to foster further exchange and collaboration on nephrology-related dialysis care across Yunnan. The conference featured thematic forums covering hot-button topics including fundamental dialysis research, clinical practice and quality improvement, patient education, professional development, dialysis administration and relevant policies, with renowned national dialysis specialists invited as participants.

Recent announcements from the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) have recognized two intellectual property achievements for the medical device division of the 716th Institute.

The Remote-Medical-Care-Based Automated Peritoneal Dialysis System has been included in the Catalogue for the Transformation of National Scientific, Technological and Industrial Intellectual-Property Achievements (Third Batch), with its overall technology reaching internationally-advanced standards. A joint project entitled Intellectual-Property Analysis for Export of Peritoneal Dialysis Machines, carried out by the 716th Institute and Jiangsu Provincial Patent Information Service Center, has been awarded as an outstanding national intellectual property analysis project and will be featured at the National Intellectual-Property Analysis Annual Conference.

Throughout its medical-device development journey, the 716th Institute has implemented full-cycle intellectual property management. Patent-information retrieval and analysis were initiated at the early-stage project approval phase. Targeted R&D and innovation were conducted based on patent literature and intellectual property landscape data within the peritoneal dialysis field. After three years of intensive collaborative research, the division successfully developed China’s first automated peritoneal-dialysis machine adopting a pneumatic-actuation principle. This breakthrough ended overseas market monopolies and realized domestic production of automated peritoneal-dialysis equipment, delivering technology performance on a par with leading international solutions.

Continuous patent-strategy analysis and early-warning research have strengthened the institute’s internal intellectual-property protection framework. To-date in its medical device business, 17 patent applications have been filed (including 9 invention patents), 8 patents granted, and 1 software copyright registration completed. A full-industry-chain portfolio covering peritoneal dialysis machines, consumables and remote-medical-care systems has been established, supported by robust patent-protection arrangements.

Moving forward, the medical-device division will leverage outcomes from intellectual-property evaluation and patent-strategy research to deploy pre-emptive patent portfolios in selected countries and regions. While strengthening intellectual-property safeguards, it will accelerate the commercialization of intellectual-property assets, improve capabilities in IP creation, protection and utilization, and drive accelerated industrial growth.

From March 27 to 31, 2018, the 2018 Asia-Pacific Conference on Nephrology together with the Chinese Society of Nephrology Annual Meeting (APCN & CSN 2018) was held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Invited by the event-organizing committee, Jiangsu JARI Science and Technology Group showcased its full-series automated peritoneal dialysis products.

Regarded as the largest and most authoritative academic summit for nephrology across the Asia-Pacific region in 2018, this conference covered both clinical practice and basic research in nephrology, drawing more than 6000 specialists and medical practitioners from home and abroad.

JARI delivered multi-channel, comprehensive demonstrations of its automated peritoneal dialysis product portfolio both on-site and online, enabling attendees to gain deeper insights into the system’s key features including user-friendly operation, human-centered design, intelligent functions and remote care capabilities.

Dozens of specialists and clinical staff from leading national peritoneal dialysis centers, such as the Chinese PLA General Hospital (301 Hospital) and the First Affiliated Hospital, Zhejiang University School of Medicine, were invited to the booth for on-site exchanges. Detailed briefings were provided on JARI’s product roll-out strategy and equipment deployment model. Experts recognized the feasibility of this innovative commercial model, concluding that it would accelerate wider adoption of automated peritoneal dialysis technology and deliver improved outcomes for more patients. Valuable feedback on operational workflows was also offered, laying a solid foundation for JARI to advance new-business-model innovation and expand its automated peritoneal dialysis solutions to other key regions across China.

From March 23 to 25, 2017, the 8th Asia-Pacific Chapter of the International Society for Peritoneal Dialysis together with the Chinese Medical Association 2017 Blood Purification Forum (APCM-ISPD) was held at the Baiyun International Convention Center in Guangzhou.

JARI’s automated peritoneal dialysis products were showcased at the event, delivering a full demonstration of APD systems and remote-care services. Outreach and engagement activities were conducted through WeChat-based campaigns as well as on-site exchanges with visiting clinical specialists.

Experts Focus on JARI

Beyond product demonstrations, JARI co-hosted a product promotion seminar with China State Shipbuilding Industrial Materials Co., Ltd. Distributors from Guangdong, Liaoning, Jiangsu, Gansu, Shanghai and other regions were invited to attend. The forum enabled discussions with industry specialists on JARI’s product philosophy and commercial-operation models for automated peritoneal-dialysis systems.

Building upon this exhibition, JARI delivered product briefings and training sessions on automated peritoneal dialysis solutions for distributors based in Guangdong Province. Initial consensus was reached for close collaboration and joint market development across the Guangdong region.
